“Intelligence is the ability to adapt to change.” — Stephen Hawking
Teenage years present multifaceted challenges, often marked by a quest for identity, acceptance, and independence. As adolescents navigate the turbulent waters of self-discovery, they face immense pressure to fit in, leading to peer pressure, bullying, and social exclusion. The omnipresence of social media amplifies these struggles, creating a constant comparison game that can erode self-esteem and exacerbate body image issues. Additionally, academic pressures and the desire to succeed can lead to stress and anxiety, while family dynamics often become strained as teens seek more autonomy. The combination of these factors can lead to mental health challenges, including depression and anxiety, making this period particularly tumultuous.
Our vision is to equip teens with the skills they need to navigate this complex landscape. Developing strong support networks, healthy coping mechanisms, and open communication can help teens navigate these years with resilience and confidence. Our mantra is “Change is the only constant in this universe”. The more open you are to the idea of change and adapting to it, the better your life will be. We aim to expose skills like planning and prioritization, facing failures, showing up with confidence etc which can be important tools in their adult life. The presence of peers adds the benefit of being aware that everyone needs and has some of the skills and they just can develop them.
Growing a resilient next generation
In an effort to help grow a generation of resilient human beings, we have built a program that will equip teenagers to face life courageously and show up with confidence wherever they choose to go.
Our pilot event for high school students aged 14-18 will be held in Sunnyvale, CA from Aug 5-7 from 9 am to 6 pm. Please register here to secure your spot. Seats are limited!
